The Lab section is being populated, and will now be the home for my previously scattered mini projects I'm creating each week, currently based on any combination of JS, HTML5, or CSS3.

The Motion (videos) section of this site is now in HTML5 so that I can utilize the video tag. After avoiding Flash video for some time, I've reimplemented these videos using the HTML5 tag with H.264 and Ogg, so this should work fine with Safari 4+, Chrome, or Firefox 3.5+. Internet Explorer, Opera, and Camino users will continue to be served the original QuickTime embeds until they support this too. Major smartphones are being served a mobile page using H.264 codecs.

For my convenience, and hopefully yours, I'm compiling a minimalist link list of worthy mobile versions of sites. Mobile portals aren't a new idea, but they certainly aren't well known. I've shown my sister how to create frame-by-frame animations with audio, and she has created something of far better quality than I have thus far. Check out Karen's animation.

The Lab section no longer points to the wiki. I've had my fun with the wiki, and it was time for a new experiment. I'm showcasing the new search engine based on an auto-suggest script written by some geniuses linked on the page. This will be the model for our regular search engine throughout the site.

I'm naming the Gallerie section "Spread and Shutter", even though I don't have any photo spreads. I also scrapped the Gallery2 installation and decided to use a page that matches the rest of the sections here.

I'm naming the Motion section "Keeping It Reel", and I've named my debut, albeit experimental, animation with that title. It's a bit unpolished by my standards, but now that I have the workflow down, I can get started on some more. Edit: I've also added a second silent film styled clip, "Keeping It Reel Silent".

I created a new logo for Monstercyb.org, the parent site one level up from here. There's no decision yet whether it's final, but at the least it's some fun. If people like it, I will release it at wallpaper sizes. I've also redone all the tab icons.

Up on this page is the first textured background I have created in a long time, and I've redone the remaining page colors to something more suitable to my style. I've also renamed the new series of work here "Fingerpaint", and this will be the default name of this site for now.

No, the tabs on the top are not done, but the previous red header was a color matching disaster to my eyes. The colors are still mismatched, as this entire page lies in limbo as I refine my textures techniques for a planned refresh of this page.

Normally, I don't release unfinished work, but here. The colors are not finalized, and the work is unpolished. But as I sometimes say, if I release ugly work, it'll motivate me to do something about it sooner.

I'm Gordon, and my other online presence you may have seen. This is Monstercyborg, a website by Brianna Lee and Gordon Mei (me). I've been lagging on this side of the site since our launch on April 22. The linked pages are not up yet, the colors haven't been worked out yet, and (clearly) there's no content yet, so feel free to check back as this evolves.

We're also not searchable under berkeley.edu, so anything goes here.
